Send an email to ALL the moms in your area, including the email lists you get from being involved with sports.
Have everyone "reply all" with a list of sporting equipment / size / condition ect...
Then start trading!
It's FREE and your stuff goes to a good friend -- plus it stays out of the landfill for a little while longer!
This would probably work with any household items! I think I might put the "bread machine" that I never seem to use. I bet someone would enjoy using it! Hint - would trade for a smoothie maker!!!

Fundraising - The Easy Peasy Way
Hello Friends - I am sure I do not have to tell you how irritating it is to have your child nagging you about the school fundraiser. They have tunnel vision - straight to the cataloge of useless, wasteful trinkets they call prizes. What every happened to "doing something kind" just because and not because there was a prize attached?
Well, I found a fundraiser that does just that. http://www.greensak.com/ offers a fundraiser with NO prizes. Will the kids participate? I think so! Will the parents participate? I think so!
They offer customized reusable grocery bags! All the funds go directly to the school to be used however they wish - including the amount other fundraisers use to hand out all those single-use trinkets. Schools are buying playground equipment and the kids get to help!
Wouldn't you, as a mom, enjoy taking your personalized school grocery bags into whatever store you choose? You no longer have to worry about taking your Safeway bag into the Albertson's and wondering if the checker notices.

Hey there - Why ask all the stores / retialers etc... to get eco friendly bags? Why don't we all just get something REUSABLE ourselves and use them EVERYWHERE?
